Price matching and Price Promises
Some traders may offer price matching or other types of price promises as part of their sales strategy.
Traders should not make "lowest price claims" which are not backed up by suitable evidence to show that they are offering goods at prices lower than their competitors.
The terms of any price matching promise should be made clear and any price promise must be verifiable and one that the trader is capable of substantiating.
Pre-printed prices / Flashed prices
The NCA expects that all reductions stated on the manufacturer's packaging (for example "flash prices" such as "10c off RRP") be passed on to consumers.
